Eligibility Criteria:
- Profession: Oncology physicians (MD, DO, or international equivalent) practicing anywhere in the world . Must be ASCO members.
- Position: In years 1–4 of a full-time faculty appointment (Instructor or Assistant Professor level) at an academic institution.
- Research Focus: Must involve patient-oriented clinical or translational research, including clinical trials or human subjects research (pure lab studies are not eligible).
- Requires an experienced scientific mentor at the applicant’s institution to provide guidance . ≥50% effort must be devoted to the research project.
Funding Details:
- Amount/Duration: $200,000 USD total over 3 years (distributed as ~$66,667 per year).
- Use of Funds: Can cover the investigator’s salary, research personnel, supplies, and travel to the ASCO Annual Meeting Grants Ceremony . No indirect costs allowed.
- Award Term: Next cycle awards will run from July 1, 2026 through June 30, 2029 . Progress and mentorship are monitored annually.
