The AACR-Conquer Cancer®, the ASCO Foundation Young Investigator Award for Translational Cancer Research provides USD 50,000 in funding over one year to support promising physician-scientists transitioning from fellowship to faculty positions. This joint award promotes high-quality research in translational oncology, enabling early-career investigators to pursue innovative projects that bridge laboratory science and clinical application.
Eligibility Criteria:

Must hold a medical degree (MD, DO, MD/PhD, or equivalent).

Must not currently be a candidate for a further doctoral degree.

Must be in the last two years of final subspecialty training and within ten years of earning the medical degree (degree cannot have been conferred before July 1, 2016).

Must have a valid and active medical license in the country where the research will be conducted.

Must have a qualified mentor at the sponsoring institution who will oversee the research.

Must commit at least 60% of full-time effort to research during the grant term.

Must plan to pursue an investigative career in clinical oncology.

Must be working at an academic medical institution or oncology research lab anywhere in the world.

No citizenship restrictions, but visa status must ensure completion of the project.

Must be an AACR member in good standing or apply by the application deadline.
