The Breast Cancer Research Foundation-AACR Career Development Awards support early-career investigators conducting innovative research that advances the understanding, prevention, and treatment of breast cancer. Each two-year grant provides USD 150,000 to fund impactful projects across basic, translational, clinical, and population health research that have direct applicability to improving patient outcomes.
Eligibility Criteria:

Must hold a doctoral degree (PhD, MD, MD/PhD, or equivalent) in a related field.

Must not be a current candidate for another doctoral or professional degree.

Must hold a faculty position (assistant professor, instructor, research assistant professor, or equivalent) by July 1, 2026.

Future positions must be confirmed and not contingent on receiving the grant.

Must have started the first independent faculty position on or after July 1, 2020.

Must have independent laboratory space confirmed by their institution.

Must be employed at an academic, medical, or research institution worldwide.

No citizenship or geographic restrictions, but applicants must have a visa allowing completion of the project.

Must be an Active AACR member in good standing or apply by the Letter of Intent (LOI) deadline.
