The Francis Crick Institute’s Doctoral Fellowships for Clinicians provide talented clinicians with the opportunity to pursue a fully funded three-year PhD in biomedical discovery research. Fellows conduct research in world-class laboratories with access to advanced scientific technology, expert supervision, and a multidisciplinary environment aimed at advancing the understanding, diagnosis, prevention, and treatment of disease.
Eligibility Criteria:

Open to clinicians with a strong academic record and passion for research.

Must hold GMC registration or equivalent.

Applicants should demonstrate motivation for scientific discovery and readiness to commit to a three-year research programme.
Funding Details:

Duration: 3 years.

Fully funded fellowship covering salary, tuition fees, and research costs.

Salary commensurate with current experience/stage of training (up to but not including NHS consultant level).

Fellows are based at The Francis Crick Institute with supervision from a Crick primary supervisor and a secondary supervisor from a partner university.

Includes access to state-of-the-art labs, technology platforms, and a dedicated thesis committee.
