The Young Investigator Award from the Melanoma Research Alliance (MRA) supports early-career faculty within their first five years of an independent appointment to foster innovative melanoma research. The award promotes the development of the next generation of melanoma research leaders by providing funding for impactful preclinical, translational, and early clinical studies.
Eligibility Criteria:

Applicants must be within the first five years of their first full-time, independent faculty appointment at the level of Assistant Professor or equivalent at an academic or non-profit research institution.

A mentor at the same institution is required.

Fellows or individuals in training positions are not eligible.

Applicants must demonstrate independence and capability to conduct high-quality melanoma research.
Funding Details:

Up to USD 85,000 per year for three years (maximum USD 255,000 total).

No indirect or overhead costs are allowed; fringe benefits are permissible.

Funds may be used for personnel, research supplies, and other direct project costs.
