The Oncology Nutrition Dietetic Practice Group (ON DPG) of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics offers annual competitive research grants to support innovative projects in oncology nutrition. These grants aim to advance evidence-based practice through research on nutrition interventions, outcomes, and quality improvement initiatives in oncology care.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Applicants must be Registered Dietitian Nutritionists (RDNs) or students enrolled in an ACEND-accredited program.

  • Applicants must be current active members of both the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics and the Oncology Nutrition DPG (ON DPG).

  • Proposals must align with the field of oncology nutrition and demonstrate sound research methodology.

Funding Details:

  • Professional Awards: Up to USD 5,000 each (2 awards)
    • One for a new researcher with limited experience.

    • One for a post-doctoral researcher.

  • Student Awards: Up to USD 1,500 each (2 awards)
    • One for an undergraduate student.

    • One for a graduate student (Master’s, DCN, or PhD).

  • Allowable Costs: Research materials, laboratory supplies, software, participant incentives, or data analysis.

  • Travel: Up to USD 500 (professionals) or USD 250 (students) may be used for oncology/nutrition-related travel (registration, lodging, etc.).

  • Restrictions: No funds may be used for salaries, tuition, stipends, or indirect costs.
