The International Innovation Grant (IIG) supports innovative, locally driven cancer research projects in low- and middle-income countries (LMICs). The goal is to fund impactful, transferable projects that reduce the cancer burden and advance cancer control in underserved regions.
Eligibility Criteria:
Applicant Organization:

Must be a registered non-profit or government agency with a charitable purpose.

Must be located in a country classified by the World Bank as low-, lower-middle-, or upper-middle-income.

Must have operated for at least one year with a sound management structure and solvency.

Should have experience conducting projects with measurable results.
Principal Investigator:

Must be an ASCO member or have submitted an ASCO membership application with the proposal.

Must be a citizen or permanent resident of a World Bank-designated LMIC and reside in that country.

Must be affiliated with the applicant organization.
Funding Details:

One-year research grant of up to 20,000 USD.

Funding is awarded directly to the grantee organization for project-related expenses.

No fixed number of awards; funding is merit-based across cancer research areas.
