The Advanced Clinical Research Award (ACRA) supports mid-career physician-scientists conducting original translational and/or clinical cancer research in underfunded areas. For 2026, Conquer Cancer is offering dedicated funding for breast cancer research.
Eligibility Criteria:

Applicants must be physicians (MD, DO, or international equivalent).

Must have completed post-doctoral or post-fellowship research and demonstrate independent research capability.

Mid-career level: 5–10 years from first full-time faculty appointment in a clinical department by the application deadline.

Must be an ASCO member or have applied for membership with the application.

Must commit at least 75% of full-time effort to research (total research time).

Applicants must be compliant with all prior Conquer Cancer grants and may only hold one active Conquer Cancer grant at a time.
Funding Details:

Total award: 450,000 USD over three years (150,000 USD annually).

2026 dedicated funding area: Breast Cancer Research (two awards available).

Awards support translational and/or clinical cancer research not currently funded.

All submissions are reviewed by the independent Grants Selection Committee using standardized scoring.
