The American Head and Neck Society (AHNS) invites applications for innovative multidisciplinary research integrating emerging technologies into clinical and epidemiologic studies in head and neck cancer (HNC). The goal is to close knowledge gaps that limit early detection, precision prevention, and effective, cost-efficient treatment of patients, particularly those with locally advanced disease.
Eligibility criteria:

Applicants must reside in the U.S. or Canada.

Eligible roles: medical students, residents, fellows, graduate students, PhDs, or faculty up to the rank of associate professor.

Applicants must be AHNS members in good standing.

Trainees must have faculty support and mentorship.

Projects already funded by private or federal sources are not eligible.
Funding details:

Maximum award: 15,000 USD.

Duration: 12 months, non-renewable.

Funds may be used for research personnel, consultant fees, lab supplies, animals, equipment, or publication expenses.

PI salary not allowed; indirect costs limited to 10%.
