Funding and mentorship for first–third year medical students and first–second year medical residents to conduct hematology research over a summer (up to 3 months) or 3–12 months, with exposure to the ASH Annual Meeting.
Eligibility Criteria:
- 
First–third year medical students or first–second year medical residents.
 - 
Hematology-related research project under a qualified mentor.
 - 
Project may occur at home or another institution (note potential visiting researcher fee).
 
Funding Details:
- 
$5,000 honorarium for the research project.
 - 
$1,000 travel allowance per year for two years to attend the ASH Annual Meeting.
 - 
Networking events at the meeting (orientation breakfast; Career Development Awards Reception).
