Supports research by Otolaryngology Head & Neck Surgeons and accredited OHNS trainees, funding part-time research staff or graduate students to build research capability.
Eligibility Criteria:

Involved in clinical/surgical practice with a record of clinical/surgical achievement.

Member of the Australian Society of Otolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery or the New Zealand Society of Otolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery, or an accredited surgical trainee.

Limited prior research track record (no major research experience or major prior research funding).

Prior GPRW Academic Surgeon-Scientist Research Scholars may apply if research since graduation has been limited and external research support is limited at the time of application.

Must meet all conditions in the Terms and Conditions of Award.
Funding Details:

Up to AUD 55,000 per annum (all-inclusive), for up to 2 years.

At least 80% must fund a research assistant, research nurse, or graduate student.

Not allowable: conference attendance, publication costs, IP-related costs, institutional overheads/administration or other indirect costs.
