One-year, mentored award to support early-career physician-investigators conducting preclinical or clinical research in geriatric oncology during the transition to faculty.
Eligibility Criteria:

Physician (MD, DO, or international equivalent); MD/PhD eligible if both degrees completed before start date.

In the last two years of final oncology subspecialty training at application; limited exceptions possible (e.g., dedicated research year timing; recent graduates within 3 months of deadline).

Within 10 years of medical degree (with possible exception for foreign medical graduates).

Planning an investigative career in oncology; valid, active medical license where research is conducted; working in an oncology lab or clinical research setting.

At least one mentor at the sponsoring institution; ASCO membership (or submitted application).

Able to commit ≥60% total effort to research during award period.

Only one active Conquer Cancer grant at a time; no citizenship or geographic restrictions.
Funding:

Total: USD 50,000 for one year, paid in two equal installments.

Budget guidance: ≥USD 46,000 to research costs; up to USD 1,500 for required travel (e.g., Grants & Awards Ceremony at ASCO Annual Meeting); up to USD 2,500 (5%) indirect costs.
