The Susan G. Komen Career Catalyst Research (CCR) Grants support early-stage faculty with up to three years of protected research time to advance hypothesis-driven, breast cancer–focused studies. Guided by a Mentor Committee, CCR aims to propel emerging leaders in basic, translational, clinical, and population science aligned with Komen’s mission to save lives from breast cancer.
Eligibility Criteria:

Full-time faculty appointment in place, or formal offer letter confirming position and start date by October 2, 2025.

≤6 total years in any faculty appointments (tenure or non-tenure track combined) by October 2, 2025.

Hypothesis-driven, breast cancer–focused project (basic, translational, clinical, and/or population science).

Limited submission: one nominee per institution; applicants cannot self-nominate.

Nominee selected by the institution’s Office of Sponsored Programs/Grants Office (or equivalent).
Funding Details:

Up to 150,000 USD per year (combined direct and indirect)

Project period: up to 3 years (maximum 450,000 USD total)
