
Cholangiocarcinoma Foundation — Career Development Award
Three-year award to help mid-career investigators establish independent cholangiocarcinoma research programs. Total funding USD 300,000 (USD 100,000/year).
Eligibility Criteria:

Doctoral degree (MD, PhD, MD/PhD or equivalent) and full-time independent appointment at an academic/clinical/research institution (any country).

In ≥4th year of primary faculty appointment; not yet in a major leadership role (e.g., chair/division chief/center director).

Clinicians: active medical license in the country of research.

Evidence of early independent productivity (e.g., leading projects/clinical trials, PI/co-PI funding, lead-author publications).

ICRN member or membership application submitted with the grant.

Commit ≥75% full-time effort to research during the award period.

Institutional mentor required (include support letter; if mentor is not ICRN, add a letter from an ICRN member).

In good standing with any prior CCF grants; only one active CCF grant at a time.

Not eligible with concurrent federal career development or institutional training awards (e.g., K08/K23, T32, KL2/K12). Prior early-career CDAs may still be eligible if time/independence criteria are met and not yet at senior-investigator status.

No concurrent private-foundation career development awards during the CDA term; time-in-rank prorated for documented interruptions.
Funding Details:

USD 300,000 total over 3 years (annual USD 100,000 installments).

May support personnel, research expenses, and travel to the CCF Annual Conference.

Award term: Jan 1, 2026 – Dec 31, 2028.
