
AST Research Network — Fellowship Research Grant
One-year, USD 75,000 grant for fellows within two years of their last doctoral degree to conduct high-merit basic, translational, or clinical research in solid organ transplantation/immunology; strong training and path to independence expected.
Eligibility Criteria:

MD/DO/PhD/PharmD (or equivalent) within first 2 years of postdoctoral research training by Dec 1, 2025; must remain at “fellowship training” level (no faculty/senior staff post).

Research performed in North America; citizenship/residency: U.S./Canada/Mexico citizen or lawful permanent resident.

Protected time: ≥50% (basic/translational) or ≥25% (clinical).

Sponsor required (active AST member or application submitted by Dec 1, 2025).

Not eligible if PI on K-series/career awards or other fellowships supporting salary; no overlap with other AST career development grants from same group/institution.
Funding Details:

USD 75,000 total (1 year), paid to the institution.

Allowable: recipient salary and research costs.

Not allowed: indirect/overhead, capital equipment, travel.

IRB/visa (as applicable) required before funds release.

Notifications: March 2026; recognition at ATC (June 20–24, 2026, Boston).
