Dissemination and Implementation Research in Health (R03 Clinical Trial Not Allowed)
Supports pilot- and feasibility‐scale studies to develop, test, and refine strategies for overcoming barriers to the adoption, adaptation, integration, sustainability, scale-up, spread, and de-implementation of evidence-based interventions, practices, programs, tools, treatments, guidelines, and policies in health settings .
Eligibility Criteria:

U.S. and foreign organizations: higher-education institutions; nonprofits (501(c)(3) and others); small and other for-profit entities; local, state, tribal, and federal government agencies; community- and faith-based organizations; regional organizations .

Applicants must hold active registrations in SAM (or NCAGE), UEI, eRA Commons (PD/PI & SO accounts), and Grants.gov.

PD(s)/PI(s) require eRA Commons accounts; institutional Signing Officials require separate accounts.

No clinical trials permitted under this R03.
Funding Details:

Direct costs up to $50,000 per year.

Project period up to 2 years.

Supports activities such as:
– Secondary or primary data analyses to identify sustainment factors
– Economic evaluations of D&I strategies (e.g., ROI, budget impact)
– Development and validation of D&I research methods, measures, and analytic tools
– Pilot studies of adaptations to enhance scalability or de-implementation processes .
