This Horizon Europe Research & Innovation Action will fund academic, investigator-led pragmatic randomized or cluster-randomized trials of tailored nutritional care (optionally combined with physical activity or psychosocial support) integrated into routine oncology practice for patients aged 65 and over. Interventions must demonstrate improvements in survival, treatment outcomes, symptom relief and patient-reported quality of life, with full open-science data sharing via the future UNCAN.eu platform.
Eligibility Criteria:

Consortia of ≥ 3 independent legal entities from Member States or Associated Countries

Lead by academic clinical trial sponsors with access to older cancer patient populations

Inclusion of multidisciplinary stakeholders: oncologists, dietitians/nutritionists, behavioural scientists, patient representatives/caregivers, SMEs, insurers/charities, SSH experts, and health authorities

Design and run pragmatic (real-world) trials in routine care settings

Biological stratification and data disaggregation by sex, age, socio-economic status, ethnicity, etc.

Commitment to register datasets in the European Health Data Space catalogue and release tools/models under open-science principles via UNCAN.eu
