
Clinician Scientist Development Grant
The Clinician Scientist Development Grant (CSDG) empowers clinically trained faculty to establish independent cancer research programs while maintaining active patient care. It provides protected research time, mentorship, and funding to transition from clinician to clinician‐scientist.
Eligibility Criteria:

Employed at a U.S. academic institution or eligible non-profit.

Hold a doctoral degree (MD, DO, MD/PhD, etc.), an active clinical license, and engage in regular clinical practice.

Have not served as PI on an individual mentored training grant (e.g., K08, K23) nor held an R-level (e.g., R01) or equivalent research grant as PI.
Funding Details:

Grant Term: 3–5 years

Annual Direct Costs: 135,000 USD

Indirect Costs: 8% of direct costs
