
Drug Development Project
The Drug Development Project provides in-kind support—managed by CRUK’s Centre for Drug Development—to advance novel cancer therapeutics from preclinical development through early-phase patient trials, with no external grant funding.
Eligibility Criteria:

Agent origin: Novel cancer agent (small molecule, biologic or other modality) with supporting in vivo efficacy data

Applicant type:

Academic researchers at UK institutions

Pharmaceutical or biotech companies (UK or international)

Prior engagement: Must have discussed proposal suitability with CRUK’s Centre for Drug Development (CDD)

Confidential review: If required, sign a CDA; CDD will advise readiness for formal application

Formal application: Submit your full data package via Flexi-Grant

Committee meeting: Present to the New Agents Committee (in-person or online)
