
Gilead UK & Ireland Fellowship and Medical Grants Programme – HIV Focus
This strand of Gilead’s UK & Ireland Fellowship and Medical Grants Programme awards one-year grants to healthcare and third-sector organizations pioneering “Getting to Zero” HIV prevention, testing, stigma reduction, and retention-in-care initiatives. Projects that innovate in testing, community engagement, faith-based outreach, data use, and cross-sector support are encouraged.
Eligibility Criteria:

Open only to healthcare and third-sector organizations based in the UK or Ireland.

Must propose a measurable, high-impact HIV-focused project aligned with one or more of the “Getting to Zero” goals:

Zero new transmissions (e.g., non-traditional testing, prevention awareness, navigator programs).

Zero disparities in stigma, health outcomes, and quality of life (e.g., community outreach, tools tackling inequalities).

Zero persons lost to care (e.g., re-engagement strategies, retention improvements, UKHSA data utilization).

Applicants must commit to regular progress reporting and a final presentation of findings.
Funding Details:

Duration: 1 year (single-cycle grant).

Use of Funds: Project-related expenses such as testing logistics, navigator stipends, community-engagement activities, data-analysis tools, and educational materials.

Funding Cap: Awards are tailored to project scale; typical grants in this Programme range up to £50,000 (see CAR-T strand for reference).
