
Gilead UK & Ireland Fellowship and Medical Grants Programme
This programme funds innovative, high-impact projects led by healthcare and third-sector organizations in the UK and Ireland to improve care for people living with HIV, cancer, or liver disease. Grants support one year of project activities—such as expansion of Opt-Out BBV testing, linkage-to-care models, community outreach, and novel patient-pathway interventions—to drive WHO 2030 elimination goals and enhance patient outcomes.
Eligibility Criteria:

Open to healthcare and third-sector organizations based in the UK or Ireland.

Projects must align with programme goals and meet specified measurable criteria.

Proposed activities may include (but are not limited to):

Pilot/expanded Opt-Out BBV testing in diverse care settings.

Integrated testing & linkage-to-care pathways with frontline leadership.

Innovative patient-pathway optimization and rapid-access strategies.
-
Community outreach, stigma reduction, and prevention tools.

Projects outside listed scopes may be considered if they add clinical value or address unmet needs.

Applicants must demonstrate capacity for data collection, monitoring, evaluation, and dissemination.
Funding Details:

Duration: 1 year (single-cycle grants).

Use of Funds: Project-related expenses, including testing logistics, staff time, travel, training, and patient-support resources.

Scale & Sustainability: Priority given to projects with potential for scale-up and long-term impact.
