
Jay Keystone Global Health Award
Established in memory of Dr. Jay Keystone—founder of the Tropical Disease Unit at Toronto General Hospital and pioneering mentor in travel and tropical medicine—this annual award supports a resident or fellow in the U of T Department of Medicine to conduct a global health research project outside the U.S. or Canada. Funds cover project-related expenses, including travel and accommodation.
Eligibility Criteria:

Must be a resident or fellow trainee in the University of Toronto Department of Medicine.

Propose a project focused on global health research conducted outside of Canada or the United States.

Secure a supervising faculty member from the Department of Medicine.
Funding Details:

One award granted annually.

Funds may be used for expenses directly related to the research project (e.g., travel, accommodation, supplies).

Award decisions are made by a Department of Medicine committee.
Deadline:
Submit complete application by Monday, September 15, 2025. Late or incomplete applications will not be considered.
