
Cancer Center Support Grants for NCI-designated Cancer Centers (P30 Clinical Trial Optional)
This FOA supports P30 Cancer Center Support Grants to fund NCI-designated Cancer Centers—Comprehensive, Clinical, or Basic—that serve as major hubs of transdisciplinary cancer research, develop shared core facilities, fund pilot and developmental projects, engage their catchment communities, coordinate training, and oversee clinical trials.

Eligible Organizations

U.S. institutions of higher education (public or private), non-profits, faith-based or community-based organizations, and certain government entities.

For New (Type 1) applications: must have ≥ $10 M (Clinical Centers) or ≥ $6 M (Basic Centers) in annual direct-cost cancer-focused NIH funding.

For Renewal (Type 2) applications: must have ≥ $10 M in annual direct-cost peer-reviewed cancer funding (sum across consortium if approved).

Foreign (non-U.S.) institutions or foreign components of U.S. organizations.
