Ambizione grants from the Swiss National Science Foundation (SNSF) enable early-career researchers—PhD holders or medical graduates—to conduct and lead independent projects at Swiss higher-education institutions, covering salary and project costs for up to four years.
Eligibility Criteria:

Doctorate Track: PhD completed within four years of the 4 Nov 2025 deadline; ≥12 months of postdoctoral research.

Medicine Track: Medical degree (Staatsexamen or equivalent) completed within nine years of the deadline; ≥ three years of clinical work and ≥12 months of research.

Applicants may be Swiss or international scientists in non-professorial academic posts.

Must secure an eligible Swiss host institution and meet all formal requirements in the Ambizione Regulations.
