
SickKids Foundation Community Conference Grants
The SickKids Foundation’s Community Conference Grants fund Canadian conferences, workshops, or symposia—organized by or for families of children with health challenges—to foster information sharing among families, health professionals, and community organizations caring for children up to age 18.
Eligibility Criteria:

Event Focus: Addresses issues relevant to child health in Canada; emphasizes interactive knowledge exchange between families, health professionals, and community groups.

Organizers & Location: Hosted in Canada by a registered Canadian charitable organization; academic-only conferences are ineligible.

Content & Presenters: Features credible speakers with bios; parents engaged as panelists or presenters.

Frequency: Maximum of three consecutive annual awards per organization; subsequent requests require a 24-month break.
Funding Details:

Award Amount: Up to 5,000 CAD per event.

Allowable Expenses:

Registration fees for families and community participants.
-
Honoraria, economy travel, accommodations, and meals for keynote speakers.

Venue and audiovisual equipment rental.

Knowledge-transfer costs (e.g., livestreaming, video production, web content).

On-site childcare or babysitting services.

Exclusions: Salaries, computer rentals, planner or speaker registration fees, planning-meeting costs, and individual reimbursements.
