
SCI Fellowship Awards
Stanford Cancer Institute’s fellowship program funds clinical, laboratory, and population‐based cancer research trainees at Stanford University—preparing fellows for faculty careers and success in securing peer-reviewed funding.
Eligibility Criteria:

Final-year clinical residents or postdoctoral trainees at Stanford University pursuing cancer research in basic biology, prevention, diagnosis, treatment, or population sciences.

Demonstrated intent to pursue an academic research career.

Commitment to apply during the 2026–27 academic year for peer-reviewed funding (NIH, foundations, or equivalent).
Funding Details:

Amount: Up to 75,000 USD

Period: July 1, 2026 – June 30, 2027

Use of Funds: Support for salary, research expenses, and professional development to advance toward faculty appointment and independent grant funding.
