
Gilead/Kite Canada Oncology & Hematology Community Grants Program
Gilead/Kite Canada’s Oncology & Hematology Community Grants program aims to address inequity in cancer care, increase patient education and literacy, and improve experiences of underserved communities across Canada. The program supports new or expanded best-practice projects to create a more accessible and equitable cancer care system.
Eligibility Criteria:

Applicant must be a Canadian-based organization.

Project must serve one or more underserved or under-resourced groups affected by cancer, such as:

Racialized communities and Indigenous groups
-
LGBTQIA+ communities
-
Migrant or newcomer populations
-
People with physical or learning disabilities
-
Younger (e.g., teens/young adults) or older adults
-

Proposed initiative must focus on cancer prevention, education, navigation, or support—rather than treatment of advanced disease.

Applicants may not have received direct oncology/hematology community grants from Gilead/Kite in the past 12 months.

Projects must include measurable objectives, a sustainability plan, and evidence-based or best-practice approaches.
Funding Details:

Grants of up to CAD 75,000 per project (one-time award).
-
Funds may cover direct project costs (e.g., program delivery, educational materials, staffing).
-
Indirect costs (overhead) are not covered.

Payment is disbursed in two installments:

50% upon grant execution
-
50% upon submission of a mid-term progress report and budget reconciliation
