
Uro-Oncology Fellowship – The Royal Marsden Hospital
This prestigious 12-month full-time Uro-Oncology fellowship provides advanced subspecialty training in urological oncology for urologists aiming to transition into a consultant-level role. Fellows will gain high-level clinical and surgical experience across the four major urological tumour sites: prostate, bladder, kidney, and testis.

Length:
12 months (full-time)
Eligibility:
-
Completion of Urology training
-
Hold FRCS (Urology) or equivalent
-
GMC registration and valid UK visa required for non-EU international candidates
Clinical Components:
-
2 full days/week in theatre: major robotic, laparoscopic, open, and brachytherapy procedures
-
Exposure to total pelvic exenteration and collaborative surgical cases
-
Multidisciplinary team meetings for four tumour types (case presentation included)
-
Joint outpatient clinics with medical and radiation oncologists
-
Presentations at Surgical Morbidity & Mortality meetings (every second month)
-
Daily ward rounds for inpatients
-
Participation in non-residential on-call rota (1:7 basis)

Attain full-spectrum clinical and operative proficiency in uro-oncology

Hands-on training in robotic and laparoscopic surgery

Gain academic, leadership, and collaborative experience through exposure to Royal Marsden’s world-class team

Prepare for consultant-level appointment in uro-oncology

Deepen theoretical knowledge and participate in ongoing research, if desired
