
Mildred Scheel Doctoral Program – Funding Medical Doctoral Theses in Cancer Research
The Mildred Scheel Doctoral Program, supported by German Cancer Aid, offers financial support to medically trained students and licensed physicians conducting an outstanding scientific doctoral thesis in cancer research. The research must be conducted in a designated laboratory in Germany.

Funding Details

Funding is tied to a sabbatical semester or two consecutive semesters dedicated exclusively to research

Grantees are expected to use lecture-free periods adjacent to sabbaticals exclusively for the doctoral project

Funding periods are fixed and cannot be shifted
