JSPS Invitational Short-Term Fellowship

The JSPS Invitational Short-Term Fellowship is designed for internationally recognized researchers to visit Japan for short-term scholarly engagements including lectures, research discussions, and academic networking.

Eligibility

  • Must be a citizen or permanent resident of a country with diplomatic ties to Japan

  • Must have significant academic achievements and international standing

Funding Details

  • Roundtrip airfare (economy class)

  • Daily allowance (rate provided by JSPS based on stay)

  • Overseas travel insurance

Duration

14 to 60 days

Deadline

  • August 29, 2025
