Cancer Council WA Cancer Research Student Vacation Scholarships
These scholarships aim to expose talented undergraduate and medical students to hands-on cancer research in Western Australia. With dedicated awards in general cancer research, brain cancer, and sarcoma, the program encourages early engagement in cancer control and treatment fields.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Must be a full-time student in the year of application
- Must have completed at least two years and be enrolled in at least the third year of a relevant degree
- Medical students must be at the end of their third year or be post-graduate students without a completed research degree
- At least 75% of the research must be conducted through WA Higher Education or Medical Research Institutions
- Ineligible if previously awarded this scholarship, enrolled in or completed a research degree, enrolled part-time, or already receiving a full-time scholarship exceeding AUD 3,000 (case-dependent)

- Up to 8 Cancer Council WA Vacation Scholarships
- Up to 2 James Crofts Hope Foundation Scholarships (brain cancer research)
- Up to 2 Abbie Basson Sarcoma Foundation Scholarships (sarcoma research)
