
ERC Advanced Grant
The ERC Advanced Grant supports established research leaders pursuing ambitious, high-risk projects in any scientific field. This prestigious grant is intended for Principal Investigators (PIs) with a sustained record of significant research achievements and originality, offering long-term funding to undertake groundbreaking frontier research in Europe.
Eligibility Criteria:

Open to researchers of any nationality

Must demonstrate a track record of significant research achievements in the last 10 years
-
Host institution must be located in an EU Member State or Horizon Europe-associated country
-
No formal academic eligibility requirements
-
PI must submit application on behalf of a host institution, with mutual commitment required if funded

Team members may be of any nationality and may be located in or outside Europe
Funding Details:

Up to 2.5 million EUR for a maximum of 5 years
-
Additional 1 million EUR available for:
-
Relocation from a third country
-
Major equipment or large-scale field work

100% of direct costs covered, plus 25% contribution toward indirect costs
-
Implemented as a lump sum contribution pilot
