
Cancer Grand Challenge: AI-Human Collaborations in Cancer
This Cancer Grand Challenge aims to fund the development of AI agents that can work with human researchers to generate novel cancer research hypotheses and design research plans for experimental validation. The goal is to transform cancer research by enabling AI-human collaborations to tackle complex, interdisciplinary challenges, particularly around cancer initiation, progression, and prevention.
Eligibility Criteria:

Open to global, interdisciplinary research teams

Must include collaboration between AI experts and cancer researchers

Strategic academic-private partnerships encouraged

Teams must include human-in-the-loop elements for high-level guidance
Funding Details:

Up to GBP 20 million (approx. USD 25 million) per team

Project funding supports high-impact, collaborative research over multiple years
