The 2nd Pediatric and Neonatal Palliative Care Symposium 2026, organized by the CHANCE Association and endorsed by the Lebanese Association for Palliative Care Nursing, will take place on February 25 at Fondation Charles Corm in Ashrafieh, Beirut.

The scientific program begins at 11:00 AM, featuring a keynote by Professor Julia Downing of the International Children’s Palliative Care Network on global perspectives in children’s palliative care. Sessions will focus on prenatal and neonatal palliation, pediatric pain management, innovation including virtual reality, and a national panel assessing the current landscape of pediatric palliative care in Lebanon.

At 3:30 PM, the event transitions to the Closing Event of the National Pioneer Project, held under the patronage and in the presence of H.E. Minister of Public Health Dr. Rakan Nassereddine. Prof. Roula Farah, President of CHANCE Association, will formally present “Innovation and Immersive Technology in Pediatric Pain, Psycho-Oncology and Palliative Care: Impact, Voices, and the Path Forward.” The ceremony will highlight project outcomes, children and parents’ testimonials, and recognition of psychologists and hospital partners who contributed to advancing pediatric psycho-oncology and palliative services nationwide.
