The ESMO Preceptorship on Hereditary Cancer Genetics 2026 is an intensive educational course scheduled for May 11–12, 2026, in Lugano, Switzerland.

Co-chaired by Judith Balmaña and Marjolijn Ligtenberg, this program is designed to provide oncologists with a comprehensive understanding of the molecular basis of genetic susceptibility to cancer. The technical curriculum focuses on the multidisciplinary management of hereditary cancer syndromes, the identification and diagnosis of germline genetic mutations, and the implementation of evidence-based prevention strategies.

Through a combination of state-of-the-art lectures and interactive clinical case discussions, the course aims to equip participants with the skills necessary to provide personalized care for patients with hereditary cancer risks.
