The ESMO Summit Africa 2027, organized by the European Society for Medical Oncology (ESMO), will take place on February 5–7, 2027, at the Century City Conference Centre in Cape Town, South Africa. The three-day international educational meeting will bring together oncologists, researchers, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to discuss advances in cancer treatment and their application to clinical practice across Africa.

The summit will highlight important research findings and treatment developments presented at recent ESMO congresses, providing updates on current standards of care from both international and African perspectives. The scientific programme will address breast, gastrointestinal, thoracic, genitourinary, and gynaecological cancers, alongside advances in radiotherapy, supportive and palliative care, and the management of HIV-associated malignancies.

Through pre-summit workshops, expert presentations, clinical case discussions, and networking opportunities, participants will explore practical approaches to multidisciplinary cancer management and challenges affecting oncology care in the region. The meeting aims to strengthen professional collaboration, support continuing medical education, and promote evidence-based cancer treatment across Africa.
