SIOP – Navigating Transition in Childhood Cancer Survivorship

The Navigating Transition in Childhood Cancer Survivorship webinar, listed by the International Society of Paediatric Oncology (SIOP), will take place online on November 17, 2026, at 3:00 PM Central European Time. The session will address an important aspect of long-term cancer care: supporting childhood cancer survivors as they transition from pediatric to adult healthcare services.
The webinar will explore the challenges associated with this transition, including continuity of care, long-term follow-up, and the evolving medical and psychosocial needs of childhood cancer survivors. As survivors move into adulthood, coordinated care becomes increasingly important for monitoring potential late effects of treatment, supporting overall wellbeing, and maintaining access to appropriate healthcare services.
The session will provide an opportunity for pediatric oncologists, survivorship specialists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to consider approaches to improving transitional care and strengthening collaboration between pediatric and adult healthcare teams, with the broader goal of supporting long-term health and quality of life among childhood cancer survivors.
