NCI Cancer Integrative Medicine Grantee Virtual Conference

Dec 10, 2024 • 9:30 AM - Dec 11, 2024 • 3:30 PM
NCI Cancer

NCI Cancer Integrative Medicine Grantee Virtual Conference will be held from December 10-11, 2024.

This open-to-the-public event, with registration required, will focus on the integration of conventional cancer treatments with complementary therapies to improve patient outcomes and quality of life.

The conference aims to achieve two main objectives:

  1. Grantsmanship: It will provide valuable learning opportunities regarding grantsmanship, tools, and resources from NCI/NIH, while also allowing NCI program staff to hear directly from grantees about their needs and challenges.
  2. Research: The event will showcase NCI/NIH-funded research on cancer-related complementary and integrative medicine. It will highlight key findings and identify gaps or needs for advancing translational and clinical research in integrative oncology, especially in advancing precision medicine across the cancer continuum.

The conference will play a crucial role in advancing the understanding and practice of integrative oncology, which combines standard cancer therapies with complementary methods such as acupuncture, herbal medicine, lifestyle changes, and mind-body techniques. The goal is to enhance both the physical and emotional well-being of cancer patients, improving overall therapeutic outcomes.

Registration is Open.
