In this episode of Global Pediatric Hematology and Oncology Chat, host Dr. Nita Radhakrishnan speaks with Dr. Gevorg Tamamyan, President of SIOP Asia and POEM, about the challenges in pediatric oncology. They discuss access to essential medicines, strengthening research in low- and middle-income countries, and the power of global collaboration to improve cancer care.

Nita Radhakrishnan is an Associate Professor and Head of the Department of Pediatric Hematology-Oncology at the Post-Graduate Institute of Child Health, Noida, India. She serves as the honorary secretary of the Pediatric Hematology-Oncology Chapter of the Indian Academy of Paediatrics, the largest body of medical care providers for children with blood diseases and cancers in India. She is the Co-Chair of the Partnerships Working Group of SIOP Global Health and Chair of the International Pediatric Association Program Area Working Group on Childhood Cancer. Dr. Radhakrishnan is on the Editorial Board of OncoDaily.

Gevorg Tamamyan is the Editor-in-chief of OncoDaily, President of SIOP Asia Continental Branch and Pediatric Oncology East and Mediterranean (POEM) Group, and the CEO of the Immune Oncology Research Institute (IMMONC). He is the Chairman and Professor of the department of Haematology and Pediatric Oncology at Yerevan State Medical University.

He is a Co-Founder and Board Member of the Armenian Association of Hematology and Oncology, City of Smile Charitable Foundation, Co-Founder and Chairman of the Board of the Institute of Cancer and Crisis, the Former President of the Harvard Club of Armenia.
