Nataliya Kovalchuk, Clinical Professor at Stanford School of Medicine and President of Help Ukraine Group (HUG), post on LinkedIn:

“Continuing to strengthen the RTT profession in Ukraine!

Help Ukraine Group (HUG), in collaboration with Trinity College Dublin and Okhmatdyt, with support from Swecare, are excited to continue our European Society for Radiotherapy and Oncology (ESTRO)-endorsed virtual course ‘Modern Radiation Therapy Practice for RTTs in Ukraine.’

  • Lecture 6: ‘How to Evaluate Radiation Therapy Treatment Plans’
  • Elizabeth Forde – Trinity College Dublin, Ireland
  • October 13, 2026
  • 20:00 Kyiv time
  • Online via Zoom

Lecture 6 will focus on the practical principles of evaluating radiation therapy treatment plans, an essential skill for ensuring safe, accurate, and high-quality treatment delivery.

Participants will explore key aspects of plan evaluation, including target coverage, dose conformity and homogeneity, dose-volume histograms (DVHs), organs at risk (OARs), dose-volume constraints, and the importance of visually reviewing dose distributions and considering clinically appropriate trade-offs.

We are incredibly grateful to Elizabeth Forde for sharing her expertise with Ukrainian RTTs and to all our participants for their continued commitment to learning and advancing the RTT profession in Ukraine.

At this extraordinarily challenging time for Ukraine, access to modern professional education and international collaboration remains essential to strengthening radiation oncology and improving care for our patients.

Together, we are strengthening radiation oncology in Ukraine.”
