Turning a Family Story Into a Message of Hope for Cholangiocarcinoma – CCF

Cholangiocarcinoma Foundation (CCF) shared on X:

“On this season’s finale of Food Network’s Halloween Baking Championship, baker Kyle Caulkins dedicated his final cake to the people who mean the most to him: his family.

At the heart of his tribute was his mom, who was diagnosed with late-stage bile duct cancer when Kyle was in high school. She underwent a liver transplant and gallbladder removal, and Kyle shared the encouraging news that she has been cancer-free for more than two years.

We appreciate Kyle’s vulnerability and for helping bring awareness to cholangiocarcinoma and reminding others that behind every diagnosis is a family with a story of its own.

To Kyle and his mom, thank you for sharing your journey and helping raise awareness of bile duct cancer. And to everyone affected by cholangiocarcinoma, please know that you are not alone.

The Cholangiocarcinoma Foundation is here to connect patients, caregivers, and families with support, resources, and a community that understands.

Every story shared helps raise awareness of this rare cancer and strengthens the community working toward a future with better treatments and hope.
