Toufic Kachaamy, Medical Advisory Council Member at Colon Cancer Coalition, Lead of the Endoscopic Oncology Program at Mayo Clinic, shared a post on LinkedIn:
“Beginning with a Blast.
On the 4th of July, with fireworks lighting up the sky, my car was picked up and began its journey from Arizona to Florida.
It felt like the universe had decided to celebrate with us.
This moment marks more than a move. It is the beginning of a new chapter for my family, a transition filled with gratitude, emotion, memories, and possibility.
Arizona has been home. It has been the place where our family grew, where friendships deepened, where professional dreams took shape, and where I had the privilege of building programs, serving patients, and working alongside extraordinary colleagues.
Now, we begin again.
I am deeply grateful and excited to share that I will be joining Mayo Clinic Florida to start and lead an Endoscopic Oncology Program. This opportunity brings together so much of what has guided my journey: innovation, cancer care, advanced endoscopy, multidisciplinary collaboration, and the belief that patients deserve less invasive, more thoughtful, and more hopeful options.
To my family: thank you for your courage, love, and willingness to embrace change.
To my colleagues, mentors, patients, and friends in Arizona: thank you for shaping me and walking with me.
To the universe: thank you for the fireworks.
Here’s to new beginnings, bold chapters, and the road ahead.”
