“I’m incredibly excited to share that I have joined the faculty at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
My path through pediatric neurology, child development, neuromuscular medicine, neurogenetics, and clinical research has continually brought me back to the same goal: to better understand rare neurogenetic diseases and help translate that understanding into new therapies for children who need them.
During my time at the National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke (NINDS), I had the extraordinary privilege of caring for patients and families from around the world and working alongside remarkable scientists, clinicians, mentors, trainees, and collaborators.
Those experiences shaped not only the physician I have become, but also the questions I hope to spend my career answering. I am deeply grateful to everyone who has been part of that journey – and especially to the patients and families who have placed their trust in me and continue to inspire my work.
I am honored to build on that foundation at St. Jude, joining Richard Finkel and the Center for Experimental Neurotherapeutics (CENT) within the new Department of Genomic and Translational Neuroscience and the Pediatric Translational Neuroscience Initiative (PTNI).
There has never been a more exciting time to work at the intersection of neuroscience, genetics, and therapeutics. I look forward to working alongside an extraordinary community at St. Jude to ask important questions, push the boundaries of what is possible, and translate scientific discoveries into meaningful change for children with rare neurological diseases and their families.
