Natera, Inc., a global leader in cell-free DNA and precision medicine, has announced the appointment of Solomon Moshkevich as Chief Executive Officer and a member of its Board of Directors, effective November 5, 2026.
Moshkevich succeeds Steve Chapman, who is stepping down after leading the company through a period of significant growth and expansion across women’s health, oncology, and organ health. Chapman will remain a consultant to Natera for an extended period and continue serving as an advisor to the Board of Directors.
The leadership transition comes as Natera prepares for its next phase of expansion, with a continued focus on molecular diagnostics, technological innovation, and the integration of precision medicine into clinical practice.
From Oncology Expansion to Company Leadership
Moshkevich brings 15 years of experience at Natera, having joined the company in 2011. Throughout his tenure, he has built and led teams across global marketing, product management, medical and scientific affairs, commercial operations, clinical trials, international sales, business development, regulatory and quality affairs, and portfolio strategy.
He has played a leading role in the development, clinical validation, and commercial success of Natera’s cell-free DNA products, including Panorama™, Prospera™, and Signatera™.
Most recently, Moshkevich served as President of Clinical Diagnostics. He was also Natera’s first General Manager of Oncology, overseeing a period of substantial growth as the company expanded its presence in cancer diagnostics.
His appointment marks the second consecutive time Natera has selected an internal leader for its CEO position, reflecting the company’s emphasis on leadership continuity and institutional experience.
Steve Chapman’s Legacy of Growth and Transformation
Chapman’s departure from the CEO position marks the conclusion of a period during which Natera significantly broadened its business and clinical reach.
Having joined Natera in 2010 and served as CEO since 2019, Chapman helped guide the company’s evolution from a prenatal testing business into a global precision medicine company operating across women’s health, oncology, and organ health.
During his tenure as CEO, Natera introduced diagnostic products, expanded its clinical applications, and increased its revenue approximately tenfold.
Reflecting on the transition, Chapman expressed confidence in his successor, emphasizing Moshkevich’s longstanding contributions to the company’s development and strategic decisions.
He also highlighted the achievements of Natera’s team and the company’s impact on millions of patients, while confirming his intention to continue supporting its future development.
Matthew Rabinowitz Reflects on Natera’s Leadership
Matthew Rabinowitz, PhD, Natera’s Co-Founder and Executive Chairman, acknowledged Chapman’s contributions to the company’s growth and welcomed Moshkevich as its next CEO.
Rabinowitz credited Chapman with leading Natera’s expansion in women’s health, oncology, and organ health, highlighting the introduction of products such as Panorama and Signatera and their impact on patient care.
In a LinkedIn post, Rabinowitz reflected on the vision behind Natera’s founding nearly two decades ago: expanding access to technologies that enable earlier disease detection.
He thanked Chapman for his leadership and recognized his role in transforming Natera from a prenatal testing company into a global precision medicine business.
Rabinowitz also emphasized Moshkevich’s contributions over the past 15 years, particularly his involvement in building the company’s operations and expanding its oncology business.
The appointment carries additional significance as Moshkevich becomes the second consecutive CEO promoted from within Natera, a decision Rabinowitz described as a testament to the strength of the company’s leadership team.
Solomon Moshkevich Outlines His Vision for Natera’s Future
Following the announcement, Solomon Moshkevich shared a statement on LinkedIn, reflecting on his appointment and outlining his priorities for Natera’s next phase of development.
As the third CEO in Natera’s 20-year history, Moshkevich expressed his commitment to leading the company through continued expansion and innovation.
He emphasized Natera’s mission to transform medical practice by enabling earlier, more targeted interventions for patients who need them while reducing unnecessary treatment for those who do not.
Looking ahead, Moshkevich identified several priorities, including generating additional diagnostic insights from blood and tissue specimens, applying novel technologies to new patient populations, and integrating diagnostic testing more effectively at the point of care.
He also highlighted the potential for these developments to improve disease treatment and prevention while reducing healthcare expenditures worldwide.
Moshkevich described Natera’s broader mission as transforming disease management globally, acknowledging the contributions of the company’s approximately 6,500 employees.
He concluded his statement by thanking Natera’s employees, clients, research partners, investors, and patients for their trust.
His remarks outline a strategy centered on expanding the clinical value of diagnostic testing and strengthening its role in healthcare decision-making.
Precision Diagnostics at the Center of Natera’s Expansion
Natera’s work in cell-free DNA testing spans oncology, women’s health, and organ health, with molecular diagnostics playing an increasingly important role in its business.
In oncology, the company’s portfolio includes Signatera™, a personalized molecular residual disease (MRD) test, and Altera™, a tumor genomic profiling test.
Moshkevich has been closely involved in the development and commercialization of Natera’s diagnostic products, including its expansion into oncology.
His experience in clinical diagnostics and oncology business development places him at the center of the company’s efforts to broaden the applications of its technologies.
The priorities outlined in his first public statement as CEO also reflect Natera’s focus on generating more clinically relevant information from biological samples and supporting more personalized approaches to patient management.
Leadership Transition Coincides With Third-Quarter Results
Natera announced the leadership change on November 5, 2026, alongside the separate release of its third-quarter financial results.
The company confirmed that its financial results were made available through its investor relations website, with a management conference call scheduled for 4:30 p.m. Eastern Time.
With Moshkevich assuming the CEO role and Chapman continuing in an advisory capacity, Natera enters its next chapter under a leader who has been closely involved in its development for more than a decade.
The transition represents both a change in executive leadership and a continuation of the company’s strategy to advance molecular diagnostics, expand clinical applications, and strengthen the role of precision medicine across oncology, women’s health, and organ health.
