“Today, we announced a planned transition plan with the appointment of Michael Bailey to succeed Dan Paterson as President and Chief Executive Officer, effective January 1, 2027.
Michael has extensive biopharmaceutical leadership experience, including 25+ years in oncology drug development and commercialization, and has a strong foundation and understanding of Verastem’s business since joining the Company’s Board of Directors earlier this year.
Following a 35+ year career in biopharma, the last 15 years at Verastem, Dan has made a lasting and significant impact on the Company, and we wish him well in his retirement.
