“Early Christmas present: happy to announce that as of Dec 1 I have been promoted to full professor – personalized diagnosis and treatment of lung cancer, at Maastricht University.
This would not have been possible without the help of many colleagues: the pulmonary diseases staff at Maastricht UMC+ , especially my thoracic oncology colleagues and our head of dept Frits Franssen, the thoracic oncology research dept (invaluable!), GROW – Research Institute for Oncology and Reproduction including also all PhDs, and of course all national and international colleagues, many of them became friends along the way.
I hope I can keep on contributing to the multidisciplinary improvement of care for patients with lung cancer, especially for those with brain metastases, oligometastases and (locally) advanced disease. Looking forward to new ideas and trials, translational projects, educational events and new or continuing collaborations.”
