KU Cancer Center shared a post on X:
“Dr. Kristy Brown has received an $800,000 grant from The V Foundation to study how obesity impacts cancer research, and how exercise and weight loss might help prevent it in women who are at high risk for developing breast cancer.”
Kristy Brown, Associate Professor at the University of Kansas Cancer Center, shared this post adding:
“An honor to receive funding for this work from The V Foundation for Cancer Research. We hope to be able to better understand how improving metabolic health through exercise or weight loss reduces the risk of cancer. Couldn’t ask for a better partnership!”
