Kathleen Schmeler: Honored to Run for a Second Term on the UICC Board of Directors

Kathleen Schmeler, Board Member of Union for International Cancer Control, shared on LinkedIn:

“I am honored to run for a second term on the Board of Directors for the Union for International Cancer Control (UICC). Serving on the Board for these past two years has been a deeply meaningful experience and has given me valuable insight into UICC’s governance, strategic priorities and vital role in advancing cancer care globally.

The growing global cancer burden, particularly in resource-constrained settings, requires our collective focus on solutions that last: capacity building, education and robust prevention and early detection programs. If re-elected, I hope to expand UICC’s impact and bring collaborative leadership and strategic perspective in ways that accelerate cancer control around the world.

It would be an immense privilege to continue contributing to the UICC mission alongside the dedicated colleagues on this board.

If your organization is a UICC member, please consider voting for me along with my five current co-board members who are also running for re-election (you get 14 votes).”
