American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO) shared a post on LinkedIn:

“We are thrilled to announce Hope Rugo as the new Editor-in-Chief of the ASCO Educational Book!

Dr. Rugo brings deep expertise and a passion for advancing cancer education to this pivotal role. Her vision will be instrumental in shaping the future of the ASCO Educational Book, which serves as an essential resource for the oncology community globally.

“It is with great pleasure that I accept this new role as the Editor-in-Chief of the ASCO Educational Book. During my previous tenure as an Associate Editor, I have watched the Ed Book flourish in its notoriety and prestige,” said Dr. Rugo. “We publish on PubMed, significantly expanded international reach, expanded to include specialty ASCO Meetings, and most recently launched a Podcast titled, ASCO Education: By the Book. In my new role, I am very excited to apply my knowledge and experience as we continue to explore expansion and maximize our reach. As an experienced medical oncologist trained in both hematology and medical oncology, I am committed to and am passionate about education with the goal of improving patient care, provider communication, and new directions in research.”

Join us in congratulating Dr. Rugo! We look forward to her leadership in furthering ASCO’s mission to conquer cancer through research and education.

Since 1985, the ASCO Educational Book has published high-quality papers to educate all members of the oncology care team on practice-changing oncology research so that all patients can receive the highest quality and equitable care.”
