Enrique Grande, Head of Oncology at MD Anderson Cancer Center Madrid, shared a post on LinkedIn:
“After 8 wonderful years, the time has come for me to say goodbye to MD Anderson Cancer Center Madrid. September 30th will be my last day as an active member of this great family, although I will always carry MD Anderson Cancer Center in my heart.
Being part of the most important cancer network in the world has been a privilege beyond words. It also allowed me to become an Adjunct Professor at The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center, an honor that I will treasure forever.
Over these years, I have had the chance to work alongside colleagues whose talent, motivation, and dedication to cancer patients is nothing short of inspiring. I leave with the feeling of duty accomplished, and with the certainty that without the visibility and opportunities provided by the MD Anderson Cancer Center brand, the next step in my career would not have been possible.
I can not mention everyone by name, because it would be unfair to those I might forget, so simply: thank you all. Each of you has left a mark on me, both personally and professionally.
Although my journey continues elsewhere, I remain deeply committed to MD Anderson’s mission of eliminating cancer globally, and I will always be proud to support its goals, wherever I may be.
With gratitude, admiration, and affection,
Enrique”
